Pro Zen: Yes I am an adherent and supporter of living at peace with the world around me. Finding a state of joy and happiness in the simple blessings of my life, and trying to share that with others.
To be pro something, or for something, means you are against something else. Well, lets see, what am I against then?
Conflict, confusion of ones mind, and polluting ones mind. Being bombarded with so much negativity and negative energy each day is debilitating. What is rehabilitating is making a stand. Stepping away from the fray, the constant, dog eat dog mentality of the world, and chosing to stand apart.
Being for something, something that truly matters should be what life is really about. Be for a purpose driven life. Be for making a change, first in you, then in others around you. It only takes a spark to get a fire going. A spark of mean spirited words, taking advantage of another, having nefarious intentions, only feeds fuel to a fire that consumes ones light and brightness. Every step of negativity, conflict, and hurting others, ultimatley hurts you.
Being a spark that lights a fire of bright optimistic light is what we all need. Looking at the other guy and saying, "well, why dont you be the spark of change?" It is just handing off the problem to others, not willing to be the first to make a true difference.
Cho Zen. Are you chosen by providence to spark a revolution of change? Stop and take a moment, evaluate your life, current circumstances, goals, direction of life. Is it selfless or selfness. Living a life of selflessness is an attainable goal.
Everyone knows how to stop smoking, or stop drinking alcohol, or to lose weight, or increase fitness. The knowing how, and the doing are two greatly different things. The fundementals of kindness, politeness, helping others, and being at peace with ones neighbor, and society in general is really easy. We just chose to be contrary and not want to truly be at peace. It takes a spark, and change in each ones heart and life.
Fro Zen. Sidebar. Yes, its very hot in our part of the world and one thing about that I have learned is it is true that ones anger, short temper, and ease at flying off the handle comes right to the surface when you are too hot. The weather can certainly inflame or influence your mood.
Heralding back to somewhere we lived before, it is a land truly frozen more than half of the year. What we would not give right now for a few days of truly being cold. Relish the thought.
Take time to be for something, pro zen state of mind. We are all cho zen, chosen to make a difference, and now with it hitting stifling high temperatures in Asia, we can only buy a bag of ice to feel fro zen.
Have a bright and optimistic day.
